Period 1 Dialogue Likes And Dislikes
Teaching aims:
1. To learn some new words & expressions, make sure the Ss can read and write them freely.
2. To practise oral English, ask Ss to make some dialogues about likes and dislikes.
Importance & Difficulty:
1. oral English practice
2. new words and expressions
3. make similiar dialogue according to the given statement
Teaching methods:
Listening to the tape recorder; Pair work; Role play
Step 1: Lead-in
What do you like to do ? Do you know what I like ?Yes ,at the beginning of this term ,I tell you I like football.Do you like football ?(some say yes,some say no )
Step 2: presentation
I: new words
1. read after the tape recorder
2. read together & try to remember them
3. check if the Ss can read the words
II: Listening to the dialogue, then try to answer questions:
(1) Do they often have sports at school?(yes)
(2) Does A like football?(No)
III: Listen to the tape again, and do the pair work : Ask the Ss to read the dialogue in pairs & then point out their difficulty and discuss them with the whole class.

Step 3: Pair work: Make dialogues according to the given statement
Statement: 你和你的朋友在讨论喜欢的体育项目,你的朋友喜欢打篮球但你不喜欢。最后你们说到游泳,你们都很喜欢,因此决定下周六下午2:30去游泳。
Step4Brief Summary:
Pay attention to these useful expression about likes and dislikes .
Step5Homework : write down the dialogue on the exercise book (pair work)& preview the text
Period 2 The Olympic Games ;
Teaching aims:
1. To learn the new words and expressions, make sure the Ss can read and write these words.
2. To practise Ss fast reading skills and try to get the general idea of the text .

2. catch the main idea of the text
