Teaching aims:
1. To train students’ ability of listening , speaking , reading and writing.
2. Make sure the student can master how to make an introduction and revise some useful expressions. Encourage Ss use English as much as possible.
3. Master the grammar : the passive voice & the active voice (the Present Indefinite, the Past Indefinite and the Present Continuous Tenses). Make sure the Ss can change the passive voice into the active voice freely.
4. To learn some new words and expressions.

2. To practise oral English, ask Ss to make some dialogues about making an introduction.

Step 1 lead-in
Ask students to introduce each other, revise some expressions:
This is….. / I’m…… / My name is …….
Nice to meet you. / How do you do? Etc.
Step 2: presentation
I: look at the picture and ask questions to teach new words:
1. Where are they ? ( bus stop)
2. In your opinion, what do they do? Or: Is the young man a student or a teacher? (college)
II: Listening to the dialogue try to answer questions:
1. What does Mr Smith do?
2. Does he like the city?
III: Pair work : Ask the Ss to read the dialogue in pairs & then point out their difficulty and discuss them with the whole class.
IV: language points:
